Omo Bello, a Nigerian soprano specialist based in France has been nominated for the 2014 ‘Victoires de la Musique’ in Paris, the French equivalent of the Grammy. The Nigerian is nominated in the ‘Lyrical Rendition of the Year Category’.

She performed at the Grand Christmas Concert with the Radio France philharmonic orchestra conducted by Mikko Franck and broadcast on French National television. The award will hold in February 3rd, 2014.

Bello is a genetic scientist who studied music at the Conservatoire De Paris.
She holds a diploma in singing performance from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, London.

She won the 1st Prize in the Luciano Pavarotti Giovani 2010 competition and also won the 1st prize in the 2011 Anselmo Colzani international singing competition.
