JEDDAH – The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, OIC has strongly condemned the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu led Israeli government for authorizing the bombing of the Holy Family Church of the Latin Patriarchate in Gaza.
The bombing resulted in the killing and injury of several innocent Palestinian citizens as well as inflicting grave damage on the church’s building and historical facilities.
Moreover, the OIC vehemently denounced the recurrent assaults and storming perpetrated by colonizers under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces into Al-Khader Church and the Christian cemetery in Taybeh town near Ramallah.
It warned of the dangerous mounting pace of the Israeli occupation’s targeting of the Islamic and Christian sanctities across the occupied Palestinian territory in a stark violation of all international charters, treaties, and resolutions protecting places of worship.
The OIC held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the persistence of such assaults on the holy sites and the violation of their sanctity.
It called on the international community to condemn such attacks, urgently act to put an end to them, and impose international protection for the Palestinian people as well as their land and sanctities.
