LAGOS, Nigeria – ObIdients have come to the rescue of a lady Miss Regina Ledum, who works as a receptionist in a hotel in Port Harcourt but was sacked by her alleged Yoruba boss for supporting candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi.
The lady, who referred to herself as Obi Istdaughter is reluctant to mention the name of the hotel to prevent a backlash. She said she only retuned after joining ObIdient 2 million man march in Port Harcourt only to be told she no longer has a job and that she should to ObIdients for a job.
Regina Ledum said she was on a salary of N20,000 as a receptionist in the hotel and that she took the job to enable her continue her education. She was crying profusely while narrating the story, stressing that her hope of going to school has been dashed.
But members of the ObIdient movement quickly rushed to her rescue, with one of them, offering to continue to pay her the monthly salary.
“My boss a Yoruba man just lay me off from work here in port Harcourt cause am supporting Peter Obi. He said and I quote him”you said you are ObiDient let him give you work”and that was my only means of survival. God na your hand I dey”, she said @ledunregina on Twitter.
“It’s actually a hotel and I was working as a receptionist, I can’t lie about stuff like this”, she told those who are doubting the story.
She reported that her boss got angry when he saw the picture and video of the 2 million man march in Port Harcourt for Peter Obi.
“He saw the pictures and videos of port Harcourt 2 million march on my status and the following day when I got to the office he now ask me to go. He is actually supporting a candidate which I don’t want to go into that. so that is all that happened”, she said.
A member of the ObIdient movement, Utenma asked some valid question with an offer to pay her salaries. “Where were you working? You are a private citizen. Your political affiliation, as long as it doesn’t interfere with his business, should not affect your employment. I need more details. If he did that, then no obedient should patronize his business. I will gladly pay your salary”, she offered.
Another member of the movement, Kejay Prince added, “ Name of hotel and boss please….once verified that this is a true story, I will give u 200k…at least that can help with your first year school fees”, he offered. Others are ready to even turn the fortune of the Ledum Regina around for good if she provides the details of the hotel for proper legal action.
Ledum Regina confirmed that some members have reached out to her on the issue. “Some persons have reach out to me which am going to drop the full details with them for verification and they will get back to this space,cause I can’t publicize the details pls”, she said, to protect the hotel.
