KOGI, Lokoja – One of the prominent followers of the Peter Obi movement, ObIdient in Kogi State, Rita Okaeme has been discharged and acquitted of all charges by a Kogi High Court.

“I was discharged today because there was no evidence. Victory to me, victory to #Obidients and victory to #Nigerians, the bigger victory is on the way, hope you are ready”, she wrote on twitter.

She was initially arrested by authorities in Kogi State and charged for disturbing the state for demanding restoration of Peter Obi’s stolen mandate.

She said she was discharged for lack of evidence. “I am so happy today, I am so happy, today is supposed to be the hearing date. What i want to say to people out there is that what you believe in go after it, never give up in your dreams, as long as you know you are clean and it is your right, go for it, i won’t give up, never”, she said.

She had severally campaign for the return of the stolen mandate to Peter Obi, forcing the authority to arrest and throw her into detention before charging her to court.

She was discharged from the Lugard Court, Lokoja after several to and fro to the Lugard Court. Rita Okaeme danced out of the court after she was pronounced discharged and acquitted.
Speaking in a viral video after her acquittal, Rita Okaeme said she will never give up and urged Nigerians to always fight for what they believe in.

She said one of the ladies who was impressed by the development has decided to stand up for justice all her life.
