BENIN, Nigeria – Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki today showed that the feud between him and his deputy, Philip Shaibu is not over when he put the office of the deputy under lock and keys.

The deputy governor’s office came under lock and keys just a few weeks after prominent elders of Edo State waded into the feud between the two, forcing the deputy governor to withdraw the suit he filed against the governor from the court.
But it appears that the purported settlement was nothing but a smokescreen. However, early this morning the deputy governor was surprised when he arrived his office with his entourage only to discover that he has been locked out.
He made spirited calls to reach the governor but it appears it was to no avail.
Signs that there was dispute between the two emerged when the governor relocated office of the deputy governor from what was hitherto office of the deputy governor since the state was created to an abandoned property overgrown with weeds.
