LAGOS, Nigeria – Nollywood actor, Saint Obi is alleged to be dead. Unconfirmed source said he died after a brief illness. He was 57.
Although no impeccable source has confirmed it, his bosom friend, Mike Nliam, who worked with him in the past, asked rhetorically.
Is St Obi dead? His answers: “It’s a tough question to ask but everyday it looks more like a stark reality…..My heart quakes as I write because he’s my guy!”, he said.
So far nobody has confirmed the development even as the story is already trending on the social media.
So far, none of the three major associations in Nollywood , the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, Association of Movie Producers, AMP and the Director Guild of Nigeria, DGN has issued any statement on the development, leaving the death of Saint Obi at the realms of speculation.
Saint Obi shot into Nollywood when he featured in the film, Sakobi, produced by Zeb Ejiro, where in he starred with another popular actress, Suzanne Patrick.
Saint Obi has moved from acting into film production and editing. He has been off movie set for years now before his rumoured death.
