KADUNA, Nigeria – The Chief of Army Staff, Major General Ibrahim Attahiru is dead. He was among the army personnel aboard the military aircraft that crashed in Kaduna, earlier today.
Spokesman of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Yerima Mohammed confirmed the development to BBC. He made the confirmation even as Director of Public Relations and Information(NAF) Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet announced the crash of the aircraft.

“An air crash involving a @NigAirForce aircraft occurred this evening near the Kaduna International Airport. The immediate cause of the crash is still being ascertained. More details to follow soon”, he said.
