LAGOS – Nigerians from all walks of life have reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari’s Democracy Day broadcast with knocks and kudos. We have put together some of these reaction. Pleasant reading.
Jimoh Adeiza Yahya
My heart always beat faster whenever Mr President says his government has lifted a huge number of citizens from poverty. Who are they? How are those funds distributed? I don’t think Mr President knows this himself except what’s written for him to read. I need to be tutored.
Zaharaddin AbdulRasheed Ja’afar.
Failed administration that fails to protect lives of citizens, you have nothing to impress us, I am on my way to Kaduna right now from school where we encounter heavy casualty and mortality, after horrendous attack by kidnappers in Nihu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria.
Anderson Ejomafuvwe
The lies of how he lifted many Nigerians out of poverty is too profound, the lies of resolve to keep Nigeria safe too profound, the lies of fairness so profound. With tribalism, sectionalism, impunity, pseudo-coruption fight, marginalization, lack of political will to improve the standard of lives of Nigerians there’s no hope for Nigeria. Talk is cheap.
Sunny Joel
There’s nothing to celebrate in this President Buhari speech, total and complete empty. Under this present administration Nigerians are in trouble.
Prince Aderibigbe Oluwadare
Which one million citizens was giving #5k?ls it the foodstuffs stored not shared to people in Lagos and Ogun whereby they are waiting for the day their birthday comes before they will give to their cronies where endsars exposed them the warehouse was forced opened, why are you people lying to who?
Muhammad Ali
Democracy day should be a day of reflection on how far Nigeria have come in its journey of rule of law and what improvement that need to be done, Mr President speech has addressed all the issues, Democracy has come to stay, long live the federal republic of Nigeria.
Efiok Ekorikoh
Only on paper, no Nigerian that I know who has no job collected any money or help from the government. Buhari, you fought to be president for so many years, now that you are one, you don’t know what to do. Your handlers are stealing Nigeria dry. Happy democrazy day o.
Yahya Adelakun
In all, let the President de-tribalise himself and see Nigeria as his Constituency. Injustice in appointments are too glaring. Other tribes apart from the Fulanis are not doddy heads.
Obiora Sebastine
The only thing I take from this script, is in paragraph 34, Buhari recognised Calabar and Port Harcourt as eastern region, not South-South region, The truth is gradually coming out.
Michael Elkeson
“I pledge Nigeria is not my country, how can I be faithful, loyal and honest to an expired country? To be a Nigerian is not by force, I don’t defend her unity, I don’t uphold her honor and glory, so BREAK it God.”
Ahmed Usman
My attention is drawn to number 48 and 49 of this article mr president has never been fair to Nigerians especially those from the minority state and tribe, starting from his political appointments none of those he appointed into political position are from the minority tribe, there are over 240 tribes in Nigeria but the majority occupying political position has to be Hausa, Yorubas, Igbos why is this so? What about the Igalas, Urhobo, Tiv, Idoma, etc are these tribes not Nigerians or don’t they have qualified hand? Recently Mr President sacked the NBC DG and replace him with a northerner simply because he’s an Igala man this is not fair.

Well, well elucidated of ur paper projects and aspirations. Well, reading from the presidency or president democracy speech here shows the president has good intentions for Nigerians but the system is moribund inclusive of its handlers, it unbelievable that Nigeria has been eat up by incurable corruption. Am also baffles by the statistical data been reeled out by the president the positive intents of it have been already sabotaged by ethnic jingoist and religious fanatics in his administration. Reading from his speech, the national assembly of this present administration have failed woefully and have nothing to contribute or change though arm chaired by the so-called executive arm of government led by the president. The mantra one Nigeria is not constitutional and should never be use a mantra of unity or justice because it sounds as deceit slogan. Nigeria as country needs total overhaul and reorientation. The people and the system have been eaten up by corruption mindsets, discrimination, nepotism, religion favourtism and marginalization occasioned by some stupid few.

Para 21 is a pure lies from the pit of hell, why are the textiles in moribund state after over how many years? Youths unemployment and poverty has become political games, gimmicks used by politicians often time and poor children’s you refused to helped and give a better life will turn you to their prey tomorrow and it is a mystery of life. No amount of lies can changed the present realities of life.
Chinda Nyebuchi
Rubbish, you shared 10000 naira to lift 10 million Nigerians out of poverty.what are you celebrating failure or what?
Adegbenga Olusegun Fehintola
Speech filled with lies as usual, 10.5million people lifted out of poverty but could not afford to buy a tier of beans for N750.
Austin Udoh
Sincerely, Baba just got it wrong again. We are tired of verbal communication. Action speak Louder. Commodities keep going higher everyday.

Still no clear message to Nigerians to douse the agitations. Nothing on restructure, state police, new sharing formula . Talking about one useless constitutional amendment one Nigeria a scam.
Isyaku Sulaiman
Despite the enormous challenges, Nigeria will one day be free from most of it’s challenges Insha Allah more especially the big ones.
