LAGOS – Nigerians today stormed major streets across the federation with posters depicting #AllEyesOnTheJudiciary to call attention to the pending decision by the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal, PEPT in Abuja.
PEPT is due to deliver judgement on petitions by Presidential candidates of People Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and that of Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, all challenging the election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This is coming few days after agents of the Federal Government began dismantling billboard mounted in strategic places in Abuja , depicting #AllEyesOnTheJudiaciary and revelation by a judge of the Kano State Election Tribunal, Justice Ngozi Azinge to the effect that a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN has been trying to bribe judges of the tribunal to secure favourable judgement for his client.
The protesters also made some dramatisation as they moved along depicting the sordid state of the Nigerian judiciary, with a participant falling to the floor, with others in the group trying to revive him, to draw attention to the need for the judiciary to stand up from slumber and deliver justice.
“Today, We went out to Sensitize the people in the street about the importance of keeping #AllEyeOnTheJudiciary and the Presidential Election petition Tribunal!
“We enlightenment the people about some of the charges the Illegal occupant’s is facing at the PEPT: Drug case and Forfeiture, lack of 25% in the FCT, Massive rigging and perjury, etc.
“Good to see many Nigerrians are in touch with the current happening! There’s too much suffering in the land, we must reclaim our mandate”, Chude Nnamdi said.
