Nigerian Air Force Jet Crashes in Borno State

July 21, 2014 -The Defence Headquarters has said that a jet in the fleet of Nigerian Air Force on training mission in Borno State has crashed.

The jet crashed this afternoon due to technical fault at a location South of Bama, Defence spokesperson, Chris Olukolade, said in a statement. The statement was silent on number of casualties.

He said investigation has commenced to unravel circumstances leading to the crash of the plane but ruled sabotage by any enemy action and that details of the crash will be made known soon.
