October 23, 2015 – The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has nominated former Nigerian striker and football icon, Segun Odegbami to contest for President of world football governing body, Federation of International Football (FIFA).

The NFF made the announcement today on its tweeter page. Odegbami is one of the two Nigerians that that are interested in FIFA presidency. The other candidate is former Governor of Abia State and football buff, Mr. Orji Uzor Kalu.

The nomination of Odegbami by the NFF now put paid to the ambition of Kalu. The former Green Eagles winger better known as mathematical Odegbami will now begin his campaign ahead of the election.
