LAGOS, Nigeria — The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) continues its concerted drive to elevate the technical expertise within the country, successfully wrapping up the second module of the CAF B-License Coaching Course this Saturday.
The intensive program, sanctioned by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), is designed to equip Nigeria’s next generation of football tacticians with advanced knowledge and modern coaching methodologies.
The second phase of the multiple-module course commenced on Monday, October 6th, building on the foundation laid during the inaugural module, which took place from April 7th to 12th earlier this year.
Speaking on the progression, NFF Technical Director, Coach Augustine Eguavoen, confirmed the remaining schedule.
“The third module will hold from October 20th to 24th, with the fourth and final module scheduled for November,” Eguavoen stated, highlighting the federation’s commitment to a timely and structured completion of the certification process.
The course has drawn a highly qualified assembly of instructors, underscoring the seriousness of the NFF’s commitment to quality education.
The resource team includes Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, NFF General Secretary and CAF instructor; Coach Eguavoen himself, also a CAF Instructor; Dr. Terry Eguaoje, NFF’s Head of Coaching Education and CAF Instructor; Coach Henry Abiodun, a seasoned CAF Instructor; and Coach Abdulrafiu Yusuf, NFF’s Head of Technical and a CAF Instructor.
A total of 25 participants are enrolled in the course, receiving instruction that blends theoretical knowledge with practical application. The federation has also brought in specialists to enrich the curriculum.
Mr. Mohammed Adebayo Ameenu, special assistant to the NFF General Secretary, was invited to speak on the intricacies of the Laws of the Game.
Meanwhile, Dr. Paul Onyeudo delivered sessions focusing on critical off-field elements, including Football Injuries & Prevention and Nutrition, essential components for modern athletic performance management.
The successful continuation of the CAF B-License course is a key part of the NFF’s strategy to ensure that technical education keeps pace with the demands of continental and global football, setting a higher standard for coaching competence across Nigeria
