ISRAELI PM Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a rallying cry to the West, warning that a “media war” is the next great frontier in the global fight against antisemitism.

Speaking at the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, the Prime Minister declared that the battle to protect Jewish people has moved from the history books to the digital world.

Addressing a room of high-level leaders, Netanyahu didn’t mince words about the rising tide of online hostility.

”There’s going to be a media war, a digital war — and we’re going to fight it together,” he told the delegation. “The first requirement to defeat antisemitism is to fight antisemitism.”

The PM suggested that modern slanders spread via social media are simply the latest evolution of a deadly, centuries-old pattern.

In a sobering history lesson, Netanyahu tracked the “slanders” against Jewish communities from the Hellenistic era through to the modern day.

He warned that throughout history, whenever Jews have been targeted by lies, violence has followed.

”All these slanders against Jews were followed by exile or mass murder — one country after another,” he warned.

The Prime Minister’s comments come at a boiling point for global tensions.

Since the events of October 7, 2023, and the subsequent conflict in Gaza, incidents of antisemitism have skyrocketed worldwide, particularly on digital platforms like TikTok and X (formerly Twitter).

Global Surge: Data shows a massive spike in hate speech and physical threats against Jewish communities in London, New York, and Paris.

The Digital Front: The Israeli government has increasingly focused on “Hasbara” (public diplomacy), attempting to counter viral misinformation and what they term “modern blood libels” appearing in digital spaces.

By framing this as a “war,” Netanyahu is signaling a more aggressive, tech-heavy approach to Israel’s international relations and the protection of the diaspora.
