Nigeria, July 4, 2016 – The website of the Niger Delta Avengers, the militant group operating in the Niger Delta has been suspended and replaced with a deceptive nd.avengers with photograhs of the militants. The website currently contains information about basket ball.
Both the website and its tweeter accounts are currently suspended. The account was suspended hours after the group announced that it has bombed NNPC trunk line in Warri and and Chevron oil wells 7 and 8. It is not clear who suspended it, but there allegations that the accounts were suspended on the orders of the Nigerian Government.
“At 9:15p.m on Friday, the @NDAvengers blew up Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Crude Oil Trunk Line to Warri Refinery.
“At 11:26pm on Saturday @NDAvengers blew up two NPDC major crude trunk lines close to Batan flow station in Delta state. At 1:15am on Sunday @NDAvengers blew up two major Chevron Oil Wells. WELL 7 and WELL 8 close to Abiteye flow station in Delta state.
“All Five Operations were carried out by @NDAvengers Strike Team. Well Done Soldiers,” the group tweeted. But by Monday the tweeter account of the group has been suspended.
