Napoli acquires Nigeria’s strike Victor Osimhen for record €70 million

NAPOLI, Italy – SSC Napoli has formerly announced outright acquisition of Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen from his club, Lille for a record €70million Euros.

‘SSC Napoli acquired the sports performance of footballer Victor Osimhen from Lille outright”, of the club,  President De Laurentiis, said on twitter, adding, “Welcome Victor! “

Victor Osimhen was born in Lagos, Nigeria on December 29, 1998. Raised in the youth clubs of the “Strickers Academy” in Lagos, he became a professional when he moved to Wolfsburg when he was an adult.

 In Germany he played in the 2017/18 season and then spent the following year at Charleroi. He played 36 games in the Belgian team, scoring 20 seasonal goals.

His experience continued at Lille in 2019/20 where he collected 38 appearances and 18 goals.

A member of the Nigerian national team, Victor Osimhem conquered the World Cup in 2015 in the FIFA under 17 tournament in which he distinguished himself by emerging top scorer with 10 goals.

In the senior national team he made his debut in June 2017 and with Nigeria so far he has 10 appearances and 4 goals.
