ABUJA, Nigeria – The Nigeria police force may have stunning discoveries in the home of the former Director General of the Department of State Services(DSS), Mr. Lawal Daura who was sacked after invading the national assembly with his men.
Daura has been under house arrest since he was sacked. But Special Adviser to the Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Lere Olayinka has said that a whopping sum of N21 billion has been uncovered in the home of the former DSS DG. Other items discovered in his home are sophisticated arms and Permanent Voters Cards belonging to Nigerians.
“N21bn, Sophisticated Arms, PVCs Belonging To Nigeriens, others Found In Sacked DSS DG, Lawal Daura’s Home”, Lere said on the social media.
Meanwhile in the Inspector General of Police has said that the DSS have carried out the invasion of the national assembly without any permission even though Lawal Daura claimed it was based on order from above.
The IGP in his preliminary report called on the presidency to release Daura to the police to assist in further investigation of the incident.
Meanwhile, the leadership of the national assembly has called for independent probe of the invasion carried out by the DSS.
