AWKA, Anambra – The First Lady of Anambra State, Dr Nonye Soludo, has described motherhood as a divine responsibility that cannot be measured or rewarded materially.
According to her, a mother is a rare blessing and a priceless gift that should never be taken for granted.
The wife of the Anambra State governor, Charles Soludo, stated this on Sunday in a message commemorating Mothering Sunday.
Mrs. Soludo, founder of the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative, noted that motherhood is a sacred calling from God, centred on service and sacrifice.
She explained that motherhood goes beyond caring for the home, describing it as a responsibility driven by passion, compassion and grace.
“For your sacrifices, extraordinary courage, resilience and enduring care, the world celebrates you today and always. No gift, treasure or expression of love can ever truly equal the price of motherhood.
“Celebrate the mother in your life today and every other day. Remember that the greatest gifts you can offer her are love, presence and prayers.
“Happy Mothering Sunday to every hardworking and compassionate mother in Anambra State and beyond. Take your flowers , you are the saints we see,” she said.
