LAGOS, Nigeria – National chairman of Advance Democratic Congress ADC ,Chief Ralph Nwosu  has  stated that the call for military to take over  in Nigeria was an unthinkable  option . Chief Nwosu ,who spoke with journalists  in Awka ,Anambra state said that military regime is no longer  fashionable anywhere in the world and there is no need  calling for it  .

” Military is not fashionable anywhere. Democracy is the best ,there is no need to be asking military to take over from President Mohammed Buhari” he said. Robert Clarke, a prominent lawyer and social commentator had last week called for  military  to take over  government in Nigeria to address security challenges.

According to Clarke , the country was at  the brink of collapse and suggested the political leadership should hand power to the military so that the security forces could be restructured.

Nwosu  said that the major  problems facing Nigeria Democracy is the process of  election, noting that immediately that is corrected, Nigeria  will get quality  leaders. According to him, where voters are induced to vote in an election, the right leaders will not emerge .
