RUSSIA – Defending world champions, Germany on Sunday fell like a pack of cards to the lowly rated Mexican team. The Mexican team played robust form of football which totally outclassed the world champions, edging them out with a 1-0 margine.
The goal came in the 35 minutes through Hirving Lozano, with the German team doing all it can to equalise until the end of the first half. The Germans came into the second half very determined but they failed to get the needed equalizer.
But hope not lost, Germany still has a better chance of moving into the next round unless the unexpected happens. The German machines will however have to beat the likes of South Korea and Sweden to keep hope alive. As it is, German is currently at the bottom of the group.
