WASHINGTON – President elect of the United States, Mr. Joe Biden has appointed Merrick Garland as Attorney General of the United State.
But in the wake of what is happening in the United States and what President Donald Trump has turned out to be, Biden said Merrick Garland will serve as the Attorney General of the United States — “not as my personal lawyer”.
Biden who was reacting to the invasion of Capitol Hill, by pro-Trump protesters, sad what America witnessed on Wednesday was not dissent —“ it was disorder”.
He continued: “They weren’t protestors — they were rioters, insurrectionists, and domestic terrorists. I wish we could say we couldn’t see it coming, but that isn’t true. We could”, he said.
According to him, “It’s time for a Department of Justice that serves the interests of the people — not a presidency. Tune in as I introduce key nominees to lead the Department”, he said.
