August 8, 2015 – One of Nigeria’s major airlines, Medview has donated the sum of N5 million as title sponsor for MedviewNUJ Media Games.
Chairman, Nigerian Union of Journalists(NUJ), Lagos state, Mr. Deji Elumoye who made the revelation said the games will kick off from September 7 to 12, 2015 adding that it will feature football, tug of war, table tennis and other games.
He called on media houses to try as much as possible to live by the rules by ensuring that only journalists working in their outfits are deployed during the football games adding that he will ask questions if he sees any exceptional performance that can only be attributed to professionals.
He said that the Lagos NUJ will embark on a lot of sensitization including floats to selective media outfit to drum up support for the games. He added that unlike in the past, medalists will receive cash prizes this year
