CHOPPERS and transport planes belonging to the US military have been “incinerated” by Iranian forces during a disastrous failed rescue mission, officials in Tehran claimed last night.
In a humiliating blow for Washington, two massive C-130 Hercules transport aircraft and two Black Hawk helicopters were reportedly caught in a “wall of fire” as they attempted a daring covert operation inside Iranian territory.
’Intense Fire’
A spokesperson for the elite Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters—the nerve centre of Iran’s air defence—boasted that the American fleet was intercepted and dismantled before they could complete their objective.
”During the so-called rescue operation, two C-130 military transport aircraft and two Black Hawk helicopters belonging to the US Army were destroyed by the intense fire of the Iranian armed forces,” the military chief declared via state-linked media.
Mission: Impossible
While the Pentagon has yet to officially confirm the extent of the carnage, sources suggest the “rescue” attempt was aimed at extracting high-value assets or personnel held within the Islamic Republic.
Instead of a clean getaway, the mission turned into a fiery graveyard in the desert.
Tensions Boiling
The claims come as the Middle East sits on a knife-edge. Tehran’s boastful announcement is seen by many as a direct “come and get it” taunt to the White House.
If the losses are confirmed, it would mark one of the most significant American military setbacks in the region since the infamous Operation Eagle Claw in 1980.
