MOSCOW, Russia – Nikita Sadkov, a 31-year old resident of Moscow has been charged by local investigators for desecrating the Russian state flag and for inciting national hatred, attorney Dmitry Dinze has said.




Police said Sadkov published on social media an extremist video containing calls aimed at inciting enmity and hatred against Russian people August 15, 2016.

A few days after, on August 21, Sadkov set the Russian national flag on fire near the Kremlin. Sadkov has pleaded not guilty. But the man claimed that he is being persecuted for his beliefs.

Sadkov believes that he published it based on his freedom of speech and insisted that the c video was nothing but humour
