LIMBE, Cameroun – The 48th minutes goal by Ibrahim Kone on Wednesday gave Mali the maximum three points to keep hope alive at the African Cup of Nations, AFCON 2021.

But it was the Tunisia team that dominated the game, having a total of 54 percent ball possession against Mali that had just 46 percent. 

Tunisia however had three shots at goal against Mali which had just one shot at goal.

In terms of corner kicks, Tunisia had 5 while Mali got 6. Both teams had two Yellow cards each, while El Bilial Toure of Mali was sent packing in the 87th minutes for a slight tackle.

The Tunisians were however awarded penalty in the in the 77th minutes but the Malian goal keeper did a yeoman job by punching the goal bound shot out  before it could find the back of the net.

However, the decision of the Zambian referee, Janny Sikazwe at exactly 90 minutes of play however infuriated the Tunisian officials who rushed into the field of play with intent to harass the referee but he was shielded by official  from any attack.
