GAZA, Palestine – One of the eight activists detained in Israel after refusing to accept deportation has gone on hunger strike.
The detainee of Brazilian descent, named Thiago Avila kicked off the hunger strike on Monday and he is now living on water since Monday.
The Arab human rights group Adalah based in Occupied Palestine announced the development.
Meanwhile, eight of the activists aboard Madeleine have been transferred to Givon Prison in Israel.
Four of the twelve volunteers, including Greta Thunberg have been deported to their country.
