LEKKI, Lagos – Officials of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested a notorious traffic robber operating in the Lekki axis.
In a statement, Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Police Command SP Benjamin gave his name as one Ali ‘m’. He said he was arrested in the Ikate area of Lekki, Lagos while carrying out his nefarious activities on Tuesday November 14.
He said he was arrested through the combined efforts of residents and the police.
According to him, preliminary investigation so far reveals that the suspect who posed as a beggar on Lekki-Epe Expressway, terrorized unsuspecting motorists and robbed them of their cash and valuables under the threat of violence.
He said the suspect will be arraigned contingent on the outcome of investigation.
