LAGOS, Nigeria – Officials of the Lagos Waste Management Authority(LAWMA) at the weekend embarked on a campaign to clean up the environment as part of activities to mark World Clean-Up Day in Lagos.
The World Clean-up Day provided a veritable platform for LAWMA to engage various stakeholders to promote cleanliness and environmental awareness in the state.
“We were also delighted to see children at our events today. At LAWMA, we believe in catching them young because children are the future of effective waste management”, LAWMA said.
LAWMA also thanked all the corporate bodies in the partnership on the occasion to mark World Cleanup Day, to create awareness on the importance of a cleaner, healthier and livable environment. #WorldCleanupDay#BlueBox#KeepLagosClean
