Nigeria, Sept, 02, 2016 – The Vice Chancellor, Professor ‘Lanre Fagbohun has appointed Dr. Jide Jimoh of the Department of Journalism, Lagos State University School of Communication, as Acting Head, Department of Journalism.
He will be head of the department for a period of one year. His appointment takes immediate effect, just as the Department of Broadcasting, School of Communication has lost one of its lecturer, Dr. Mikaila Ishola who died on Saturday, 27th August, 2016 after a brief illness.
Until his death, Dr. Ajaga was a lecturer in the Department of Broadcasting. Meanwhile, Fagbohun has commiserated with his family on behalf of management, staff and students of the university and expressed its heartfelt sympathy to the entire family of AJAGA.
“The Management acknowledges the fact that his death is indeed painful, but, believes Almighty God in his infinite mercies will grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”, the school said in a statement.
