Lagos Offers Free Bus Ride to Residents on Saturday to Mark Eid-el-Kabir

October 3, 2014 – Management of the Lagos State Government Bus Service (LAGBUS) says it is offering free bus rides to Lagosians during the of Eid-el- Kabir celebration.

A statement by Managing Director of LAGBUS, Mr. Babatunde Disu, said the Lagbus and its franchise would provide the free service to the residents on Saturday, saying the free bus ride would run from 6a.m to 10p.m.

“It is a move aimed at promoting the use of public transport as well as reducing traffic congestion on Lagos roads during the festivities. LAGBUS and its franchise will provide free transportation in their designated routes across the metropolis. According to him, the free rides are parts of Lagbus’s contribution towards a successful Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

While urging Lagosians to make use of the services, Disu said the free bus rides will be provided on all LAGBUS routes across the metropolis. He assured that the free bus ride would run within LAGBUS operational hours of 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday

He thanked Lagosians for travelling with LAGBUS over the years and wished residents a happy celebration.
