BADAGRY, Lagos, Nigeria – The Dr. Qasim Akinreti-led Lagos State Nigerian Union of Journalist(NUJ) has taken a bold step to revive the aborted NUJ-Badagry Community Radio Project scheduled to take off in Badagry.




To this end , the NUJ Lagos state officials celebrated the world Radio Day with the Badagry communities to  rekindle  the  hope of setting up the radio station . This laudable dream was aborted six years ago by the leadership then.

The Badagry community received the NUJ delegation with open arms . In the team is the amiable Director of Lagos Operation ,Prince Adeyinka Amosu. At the seaside on Monday evening, the Prince of Badagry entertained his guests with local delicacies of food and wine. Indeed,  Prince Amosu is a good host.

The Akran of Badagry expressed his joy and looks forward to see the project come to pass. To the Badagry local government officials better days are here with the Community Radio project.

“I must thank profusely the exco members on the visit and more importantly members of the NUJ Media Investment Committee led by Comrade Gbenga Fatile. Korede Ogunbunmi, GM Radio One and Dr Achum  made the trip. Surely, a New Beginning for NUJ Lagos state Council is here.  I will serve you with all hearts”, Dr Qasim Akinreti Chairman NUJ Lagos state said.
