Lagos Begins Survey to Gauge Public Perception of Infrastructural Development

August 1, 2014 -Lagos State Government says it is conducting a household survey in the 20 Local Governments and 37 Local Council Development Areas in the state.

Director, Lagos Bureau of Statistics, Mr. Tayo Oseni-Ope who made the announcement said the exercise will commence on Monday 4th of August 2014 would last for 25 working days in entire State concurrently.

“It should be noted that the Household Surveys conducted by the Bureau is one of the tools used in gauging the public response to the socio-economic infrastructure and services rendered by the State Government to its Citizenry”, he said.

The statement said the bureau is mandated to carry out the exercise on a regular basis and is mostly done to extract forth indicators that will further enhance plans and policy formulation of the State Government to improve the quality of life of its citizens.

Meanwhile, members of the public are enjoined to give maximum cooperation and assistance to the enumerators as the exercise has nothing to do with tax but development.
