December 22, 2015 – All physically challenged parsons living in Lagos State will no longer pay transportation fares if they board Lagos State Government Bus(LAGBUS) or any of the buses operating the Bus Rapid Transit Scheme(BRT).
In a statement, Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Dayo Mobereola said all buses operating the BRT and LAGBUS franchise must pick physically challenged persons free of charge.
“This directive takes immediate effect’’, he said.
He called on residents to continue to obey traffic laws and officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority(LASTMA), police and Federal Road Safety Commission(FRSC)deployed to ease traffic.
