LAGOS, Nigeria – King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, KWAM 1 also known as De Ultimate will for now restrict his travels to the roads, even the seas, following the decision of the Federal Airport Authority FAAN to place him on ‘No Fly’ list for obstruction of aircraft and his complementary behavior on board Value jet at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
KWAM 1, the Fuji maestro obstructed flight operation of Value Jet and attacked the pilot by spilling his alcohol covered hidden in his flask on the female pilot when she intervened in the impasse.
FAAN placed him on the list following reports of preliminary investigation and he will remain banned until conclusion of investigation.
In a statement, Obiageli Orah, Director Public Affairs and Consumer Protection said the measure aims to protect the integrity of airport operations and ensure that all passengers, regardless of status are held accountable for conduct that endanger aviation safety.
Orah added that the decision underscores the zero tolerance policy of both FAAN and NCAA towards any act of aggression, non-compliance or disruption within the aviation environment.
“It also serves as a clear reminder that the safety of passengers, crew and airport personnel are of utmost importance and non-negotiable”.
She said FAAN is collaborating with relevant security agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure a thorough and impartial investigation.
When concluded, she said appropriate legal and administrative actions will be taken.
