AMSTERDAM –  JOHAN CRUYFF ARENA SHOCKER: Ajax were battered, bruised, and blown away in their own back garden last night as a Victor Osimhen hat-trick fired Galatasaray to a sensational 3-0 Champions League victory.

The historic Johan Cruyff Arena, usually a fortress for the Dutch giants, was turned into a Turkish steam room as Osimhen delivered a ruthless, record-breaking performance that left the home faithful in stunned silence.

The Nigerian striker, signed by the Istanbul outfit in a massive summer deal, showed exactly why he’s now Europe’s hottest property, smashing the Dutch club single-handedly and climbing above the likes of Harry Kane and Erling Haaland to top the competition’s scoring charts.

It was a night of pure misery for Ajax, who are currently stuck at the bottom of the group, looking more like a pub side than four-time European champions.

The first half was tight, but when Osimhen broke the deadlock on 59 minutes with a powerful header, the floodgates opened.
Ajax’s defence folded quicker than a deckchair in a hurricane. Just seven minutes later, the striker calmly slotted home his first penalty of the night.

The humiliation was complete in the 78th minute when he stepped up again after another desperate Ajax handball to coolly complete his treble from the spot, confirming the 3-0 smash-and-grab on the hallowed Amsterdam turf.

The result is Galatasaray’s third straight win in the Champions League and serves as a humiliating reality check for Ajax boss John Heitinga, whose team simply couldn’t handle the power and precision of the Turkish onslaught right in front of their shellshocked fans.
