ENUGU, Nigeria – The Dr. Peter Mbah led Enugu State Government today kicked off operation, taking a queue from Akwa Ibom, whose Ibom Air has become a reference point in the aviation industry.
Enugu Air, which enjoyed unprecedented patronage from indigenes flying in from Lagos to Enugu with all the three airlines in the fleet all landing with a ceremonial water salute.
Speaking during the unveiling at Enugu Airport, Minister of Aviation, Mr. Festus Keyamo called for professionalism in the running of the airline.
He urged the managers not to be bugged down by the Nigerian syndrome but to run it professionally with any exception.
According to him, if the State Governor, HE Peter Mbah is two minutes late, the door should be closed and the take off without having to wait.
“Run it professionally. Don’t give free tickets to your friends. If you want it to survive, support the airline”, he advised.
