January 27, 2016 – There was wild jubilation in Port Harcourt today when news filtered in that the Supreme Court has affirmed the election of Nyesom Wike as governor of Rivers State.

The Supreme court in a unanimous judgment by a 7-man panel led by Justice Kudirat Kekere Ekun set aside the judgment of the Court of Appeal which nullified Wike ‘s elections.

In Ogun State, supporters of Senator Ibikunle Amosun were equally excited, following the affirmation by the apex court that he remains governor of Oven State.
