SAYS PEOPLE ARE LEAVING APC BECAUSE THERE IS NO MONEY TO STEAL
NO ALTERNATIVE TO BUHARI

LAGOS, Nigeria – Publicity Secretary of the All Progressive Congress(APC) in Lagos State, Mr. Joe Igbokwe has said that all the presidential candidates put together cannot stop President Muhammadu Buhari in the forth coming 2019 general election. He said President Muhammadu Buhari is unstoppable and that he will win by wide margin and that the defeat will be heard this time beyond the shores of Nigeria.
Among those who have indicated interest in running for the 2019 general election are former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Professor Kingsley Moghalu, former governor of Cross Rivers State, Donald Duke, former Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido former Governor of Kaduna State, Ahmed Makarfi, Gombe State Governor, Mr Ibrahim Dankwambo and former Governor of Kano State, Mr. Ibrahim Shekarau.
Others are Former Minister of Special Duties, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, Professor of Language and Communication Arts at Rivers State University of Education, Prof. Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies, President of the Nigerian Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki, Professor Remi Sonaiya, Motivational Speaker, Fela Durotoye, Tunde Fasua, Publisher Sahara Reporter and for President Student Union Government in UNILAG , Mr. Omoyele Sowore and a Lawyer, Eunice Atuejide among others.
Joe Igbokwe who described himself as an Igbo Prince spoke as guest on Arise TV Thursday morning. He described President Buhari as a trustworthy person who is actually doing the work he was elected to do and that across the nations, most of the roads that were abandoned because money budgeted for them were stolen are now being fixed. He said that President Muhammadu Buhari will get automatic ticket from the APC, hence nobody in the party is challenging him.
“We cannot trust any other person, we know their anticidents, Buhari is dependable, Buhari is trust worthy, no body will challenge him, Buhari will get authomatic ticket”, he said on the programme.
He described the President as fit as a fiddle and not the oldest president in the world, stressing that he has proved wrong all those who said he will never return to the country after travelling to London for health reasons. “They say he will not return, he came”, he said, stressing that people who are criticising him now have only one vote.
“I believe in him, he is honest, all the presidential candidates put together cannot beat this man. No alternative to President Buhari”, he said.
He said the president has been delivering on his anticorruption promise and that he has seen people return money stolen from public coffers so as not to be prosecuted and that for the first time, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board(JAMB) that returned only N15 million in 16 years returned N7 billion to government in just one year.
Joe Igbokwe scored the APC well ahead of the 2019 election and that the current governor, Akinwunmi Ambode will win based on performance. Specifically, he said Ambode will get about 5 to 6 million votes in the coming election and that what seems to be divisioon in Lagos APC with the like of Fuad Oki is nothing but a distraction that will be of no effect during the election.
Igbokwe who described himself as a hero and a prince, said what is of interest to him is good governanance.
” I am a hero in my vilage, I am a prince, I have royal blood flowing in me. I am proudly Nigerian, I don’t see south, east or west, good governance that is what I believe in”, he said.
