LAGOS, Nigeria – Jehovah’s Witnesses are today celebrating the memorial of Jesus Christ’s death.
The event will take place at sundown in various Kingdom Halls and halls across the globe.
The Jehovah’s Witnesses are celebrating the memorial in obedience to Jesus’command at Luke 22:19, urging them to keep doing this in his remembrance.
The event will be celebrated today April 12 because it corresponds to Nissan 14, the day that Jesus Christ instituted the memorial.
This annual event will be celebrated with two emblems, the unleven bread and the unfermented wine, simbolising the holy body of Jesus Christ and his blood.
