LAGOS, Nigeria – Jehovah’s Witnesses globally are today celebrating the Memorial of Jesus’ death.
Tagged the “Lords Evening Meal”, the memorial will be held after sundown in Kingdom Halls of Jehovah’s Witnesses and in some rented halls.
The Jehovah’s Witnesses Celebrate the memorial in obedience to the command at Luke 22:19. Jesus gave the command while instituting the memorial with his disciples on Nissan14.

The Jehovah’s Witnesses hold the annual event on the day that corresponds to Nissan 14 in the Jewish calendar hence they are holding the event today.
They are inviting everyone to join them in the celebration. Two emblems will be used during the event, the unfermented wine and unleavened bread.
