GAZA, Palestine – There seems to be no let up in attacks by the Israeli Defence Forces, IDF in Gaza, with five more Palestinian journalists killed in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement, the Gaza Government Media office confirmed that the journalists were killed in air strikes on Sunday.

“We strongly condemn the unprecedented and ongoing crimes of the occupation against Palestinian journalists, as it was announced that 5 of them were martyred today, and we confirm that [Israel] will not intimidate them or prevent them from continuing their role in exposing the fascist entity,” the statement said.

The five journalists killed in the air strikes are Saed Radwan with Al-Aqsa TV, Hamza Abu Salmiya with Sanad News Agency, Haneen Baroud with Al-Quds Foundation, Abdulrahman Al-Tanani with Sawt Al-Shaab, and Nadia Al-Sayed who worked as freelance for multiple news outlets.

The deaths of these journalists bring the total number of journalists killed in Gaza since October 7 last year to 180.
