GAZA, Palestine – The endless blood letting, unrestrained killings by Israel has resulted in the death of two additional journalists in the Gaza Strip, bringing the total death toll of journalist in this crazy war to 213.
Many other journalists were also injured in the strikes.
The latest journalists to give up their lives in exposing Israeli attrocities are Yahya Sheikh and Nour El-Din Matar Abdo.
Yahya Sbeih was killed in the Israeli strike hit Thai Restaurant in the Al-Remal neighborhood of Gaza City, while Nour El-Din Matar Abdo was killed in another air strike.
In a statement, Government Media Office in Gaza said the number of martyred journalists has now risen to 213.
_The number of martyred journalists has risen to 213 journalist martyrs since the beginning of the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, following the announcement of the martyrdom of one of our journalist colleagues who was killed in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
According to the office, the martyred journalist, Nour El-Din Matar Abdo
worked as a presenter and journalist editor in several media outlets.
The Media Office strongly condemned the systematic targeting, killing, and assassination of Palestinian journalists by the “israeli” occupation.
“We call on the International Federation of Journalists, the Federation of Arab Journalists, and all journalistic bodies in all countries around the world to condemn these systematic crimes against Palestinian journalists and media professionals in the Gaza Strip.
“We hold the “israeli” occupation, the U.S. administration, and the countries involved in the crime of genocide—such as the United Kingdom, Germany, and France—fully responsible for committing this heinous and brutal crime.
“We call on the international community, international organizations, and entities related to journalistic and media work in all countries around the world to condemn the occupation’s crimes, deter it, prosecute it in international courts for its ongoing crimes, and bring the occupation’s criminals to justice. We also call on them to exert serious and effective pressure to stop the crime of genocide, to protect journalists and media professionals in the Gaza Strip, and to stop the crime of their killing and assassination”, the office said, asking Allah Almighty to grant mercy, acceptance, and paradise to all our martyred journalist colleagues, and patience and solace to their families and to the Palestinian journalistic community.
“We also wish a speedy recovery to all wounded journalists”.
