JERUSALEM—Seven more Israeli captive s, including five individuals from the Berman and Mor families, have arrived safely back on Israeli soil as part of a continuing release agreement, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Israel Security Agency (ISA) announced jointly early Friday.
The return, dubbed Operation “Returning Home,” saw the seven individuals transferred to an initial reception point in southern Israel, where they are undergoing immediate medical and psychological evaluation.
The returned hostages have been identified as Eitan Mor, Alon Ohel, Ziv Berman, Gali Berman, Guy Gilboa-Dalal, Omri Miran, and Matan Angrest.
According to the joint statement, personnel from the IDF Manpower Directorate and dedicated IDF medical teams immediately took charge upon their arrival. The teams are tasked with providing initial medical screening and crucial support before the long-awaited reunions.
The hostages are set to reunite with their anxious families at the same initial reception center. The IDF has confirmed that its representatives have been with the families throughout the process, providing them with continuous updates as they waited at a designated hospital.
The joint statement emphasized that preparations are continuing for the transfer of additional hostages.
“The IDF is prepared to receive additional hostages who are expected to be transferred to the Red Cross later on,” the statement concluded, signaling that the delicate process of bringing all remaining captives home is far from over.
