TEL AVIV, Israel – The Israeli Defence Forces, IDF has announced the death of Lieutenant Ori Gerlic, a platoon commander, who allegedly ran over a Palestinian woman with her three kids using his Amoured Personnel Carrier, APC in Khan Younis.
Lieutenant Ori Gerlic, aged 20 is from Meitar, a platoon commander in the Shimshon Battalion of the Kfir Brigade.
According to IDF, he fell during combat in the southern Gaza Strip.
But sources close to Hamas said the resistance detonated an IED in the tank he was driving severely wounding him.
He was taken to the hospital, but later died of his injuries.
