ALEXANDER ISAK finally broke his Anfield curse as Liverpool’s star-studded frontline dismantled Crystal Palace in a 3-1 victory that was equal parts brilliance and heartbreak.

While the Kop celebrated a dominant performance that catapulted Arne Slot’s side into the top four, a dark cloud loomed over the Merseyside sunshine.

Mohamed Salah, the talismanic Egyptian King, limped out of the action with a hamstring injury, casting a shadow over what may be his final weeks in a Red shirt.

The game crackled into life when Alexander Isak showed exactly why Liverpool broke the bank for him. After a first-half penalty for a foul on Salah was cruelly snatched away by VAR, Isak took matters into his own hands.

Controlling a fizzing Alexis Mac Allister effort with the grace of a ballet dancer, the Swede looped a clever finish over Dean Henderson to claim his first-ever Premier League goal at Anfield.

But the night belonged to the “old guard” and the “new era” alike. Andy Robertson, rumored to be heading for the exit this summer, reminded everyone of his legendary status.

Following a world-class save from stand-in keeper Freddie Woodman at the other end, Robertson sprinted the length of the pitch to finish a Curtis Jones through-ball with the clinical edge of a veteran striker.

Palace threatened a comeback through Daniel Muñoz, who chipped into an empty net while Woodman lay injured—a move that sparked a touchline fury between Slot and Eagles boss Oliver Glasner.

However, the Reds’ newest superstar, Florian Wirtz, ensured there would be no late collapse. In stoppage time, the German maestro danced through the Palace defense to slot home the third, sealing three vital points and proving that even without Salah, Liverpool’s galaxy of stars still shines brightest.

”The difference was efficiency,” admitted Palace boss Glasner. “Liverpool took their chances; they have the stars who don’t miss.”
