LAGOS, Nigeria – Runaway leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB)Nnamdi Kanu has been spotted in Jerusalem. He was spotted today in Jerusalem in pensive mood, decked in white Jewish attire by the wailing wall.
Whereabout of Kanu has been a subject of controversy with some of his followers blaming the Nigerian military for his disappearance. Some even alleged that he was killed in the wake of Operation Crocodile Smile launched by the Nigerian military, that saw many IPOB members killed in eastern Nigeria. The Nigerian military severally denied having him in custody.
This is not the first time that the IPOB leader has been sighted since his sudden disappearance. He was allegedly spotted sometime ago in Ghana but his followers reportedly prevented reporters from shooting his photograph.
His disappearance has however adversely affected Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe of Abia South Senatoria District, his surety. He was arrested for inability to produce Kanu in court. He has been released but the matter is still pending in court.
