January 23,2015 – The All Progressives Congress, APC, has admitted that the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) gave them more votes than they got in the August 9, 2014 gubernatorial election.
This was revealed on Friday by the lead counsel to the petitioner, Dr. Alex Isiyon, SAN, during the adoption of written address by counsels.
Isiyon contended that since the First Respondent had admitted that INEC gave them more votes than they actually got, the onus is on the Tribunal to declare the petitioner as the winner of the lawful votes cast and be sworn in.
