KADUNA, Nigeria – The Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) has declared Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai as winner of the governorship election in the state.
Mallam Nasir El-Rufai polled 1,045, 427 votes to defeat his closest rival, Mr. Isah Ashiru of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), who polled 814, 168 votes during the election.

INEC Returning Officer, Professor Mohammed Bello declared Governor Nasir El-Rufai re-elected having satisfied the constitutional required to be elected as governor for the next four years.
