LAGOS, Nigeria Adhoc staff employed by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) passed the night outside while awaiting directive as INEC meeting with election observers and stakeholders spilled into the early hours of Saturday, February 16.
INEC however rose from the meeting to announce that it had posponed the election due to logistic reasons. INEC chairman, Professor Mahood Yakubu said it was a painful decision to make.
The Presidential and National Assembly elections will now hold February 23, 2019 while the governorship and state assembly elections will now hold March 9.
