June 3, 2015 – Ikoyi-Obalende Local Council Development Authority [LCDA] has distributed free WAEC/GCE forms to indigent students  who lack the means to purchase the forms to sit for the examination.

 Executive Secretary of the LCDA, Mrs. Toyin Caxton-Martins who made the presentation in the council premises, urged the beneficiaries to key into the opportunity provided to improve their lives.

According to her, the beneficiaries were carefully chosen from among those that applied, explaining that the gesture is to enable them develop themselves and contribute their quota to the development of the country.

Caxton-Martins pledged that the LCDA would continue to assist the youth in the area to excel, stressing that the future depends on them, adding that every child irrespective of the parents’ social status should have the privilege of attaining post-secondary education.

The LCDA boss admonished the students to shun all vices that could truncate their career, especially thuggery and cultism, while also encouraging them to educate their parents on voluntary tax payment, essential to provide amenities that would make life meaningful for everyone.

She used the opportunity to implore the youths in the area to learn to keep their environment clean always and also encourage the adults to do same.

One of the beneficiaries,  Seun Akinsanya, while responding on behalf of other beneficiaries,  thanked the Executive Secretary for the gesture and promised that they would not disappoint the LCDA.
