JERUSALEM — Some images have emerged among Palestinian prisoners released today in exchange for the Israeli captives  released earlier by Hamas.

They are part of 250 prisoners scheduled to be released as part of an unspecified deal set for Monday, according to a joint statement from the Prisoners Authority and the Prisoners Club.

The groups provided a breakdown of the planned releases, which include a significant number of deportations.

The statement said the deal involves 154 prisoners who will be deported, although it did not specify their destination. The remaining 96 prisoners are not slated for deportation and will be released to different areas.

The distribution of the non-deported prisoners includes:
88 prisoners to be released to the West Bank and Jerusalem.
8 prisoners to be released to Gaza.

Neither the Prisoners Authority nor the Prisoners Club provided further details on the nature of the deal, including the parties involved, the crimes for which the prisoners were held, or the circumstances surrounding the decision to release and deport the individuals. The announcement comes amid ongoing, sensitive negotiations and exchanges related to the conflict in the region.

The planned release of individuals to the West Bank, Jerusalem, and Gaza suggests the deal is related to the long-running Israeli-Palestinian conflict, where prisoner exchanges are a frequent component of cease-fire agreements or broader diplomatic understandings.

Authorities on the Israeli and Palestinian sides have not immediately confirmed the details of the release plan announced by the prisoner advocacy groups.
